One of the main reasons why you probably are hoping to meet the
right man to start dating and advance into a relationship with, is
because you want to have someone that you can have fun with in your
life. You probably don't want to get dragged down with some boring guy

1) You want to try to meet someone who has an active social life.
If you meet someone and you find out that his social life consists of hanging around the house and watching television, chances are he is not the kind of guy who is going to start going to places that you want to go.
It may happen that way some of the time, but most of the time if you meet a man like that, he is probably set in his ways and his idea of a good time is probably surfing the channels on a Friday night.
2) The more things that you have in common with him, the more likely it is that you are going to enjoy your time with him.
Imagine that you end up dating a guy who likes the opposite kind of music, the opposite kind of restaurant, and who hates to go out dancing. Obviously, you probably are not going to find that to be a whole lot of fun. You want to get to know what it is that he likes to do and make sure that the two of you are on the same page for a lot of things. You don't have to be on the same page for literally everything, but the more things that you have in common, the likelier it is that you will find yourself enjoying the time that you spend with him.
3) Getting a chance to find out what his work life is like can also be a good indication.
Dating a guy who is a workaholic isn't that much fun if you are the type of woman who'd rather do other things than to sit behind a desk and pull in a lot of hours. Even if he does like some of the things that you do, if he is the kind of guy who works too much and he likes it that way - he is probably not going to change and he is probably going to end up dragging you down.
