There is definitely an art to flirting. Some guys are naturally
gifted at it, others have to work hard to get to where they know when
too much is just too much. Still, others never seem to know when they
are flirting too hard with a woman and the very idea that you can flirt
too much is kind of a shock and a revelation to them. What happens when
you try too hard like that, is that you start to switch things up from
where she might be having a little fun to where she is kind of feeling
like you are "not the one."

1. You are laughing, but she isn't even letting out a chuckle.
Some guys, the ones who'll never get it, will see a situation like this and assume that they are just dealing with an ice cold chick.
While that might be true SOME of the time, a lot of the time it is one of those clear signs where you are trying too hard. A lot of guys do that laughing thing when they think they've said something cute and funny - but the woman doesn't seem to share the same viewpoint.
2. You are asking questions and she isn't giving you the shortest answer possible.
Asking questions can be a good thing when you want to get a woman talking to you, and that can definitely make things a little bit easier when you are trying to flirt with her, but if all you seem to be getting are the shortest answers she can come up with, you are trying too hard and she probably isn't really feeling you at all. Of course, there are some questions that are only answerable with a short, yes or no kind of response, but if your questions are more open ended then that - you are probably trying too hard.
3. She keeps on hinting at the fact that she has to go.
This is one of those obvious signs that you are flirting too hard with a woman who just isn't feeling the same way that you need to pay attention to. You don't want to get into the habit of being that guy who just won't take a hint. All that will do is keep you thinking that you are doing the right things, when that clearly is not the case.
